Shooting
As a marksman I have the ability to recognize
a good shooter when I meet one. When I met Geoff I knew he had potential,
but I had no idea how skillful he is until I saw him shoot. At the range
he unsheathed his Winchester 308 with a small 10 power scope as if it were
some super-weapon. I admit that I was very unimpressed after his boasting
I was almost disappointed. We moved into the prone position and began to
set up, but after only 3 or 4 minutes Mackay asked if he could take a shot.
I looked at him like he was crazy and asked him to identify which target
he was aiming in at. He picked a target that was at least 800 yards away!
No way I thought, but only gave him confirmation and watched. With a cold
barrel in moderate wind he hit a large coffee can like it was child's play.
Needless to say I've eaten my words since then. Geoff Mackay is the best
shot I've ever seen.
